“Nature guides, dreams speak and a veil of knowing informs by doing as the waves keep coming.”
Artist Statement
I find balance and understanding thru the imagery and the language of the visceral marks I make with encaustic wax. The medium is fluid, smells of honey and the textures are revealing, surprising and unexpected as I lift the paper from the hot wax. These marks gather for me like the tide leaves traces upon the sand.
I am inspired by the sea, a buzzing bee, a sprouting seed, calmed by Tai Chi and surrounded with a loving husband and family.
